Thanks to great #ACH2023 #DHmakes collaborators, I got motivation & finished one of my book-adjacent makerspace experiments! Here's a sneak peek, w/help from @scholars_lab:

I’m still super new to needle felting, but I was really excited that I got to contribute to #DHmakes with my new crafting skills.

So excited #ACH2023 is finally here. I'm so excited to share my final mini data quilt that is part of the #DHmakes activities at the conference. The quilt is a tree map of the top terms used in the presentation titles. Thank you @VisualizingPam for sharing the dataset!

Today's #ach2023 #DHmakes has been on the move: from Boulder, CO to Kadoka, SD, via Wyoming and Nebraska. Spun a whole bobbin of enby-themed roving for Pride month.

I'm got several experiments going toward including non-book 'reads'/scholarship in the same visibility, amplification, browsability, and community building efforts as print book collections/displays. E.g. DH projects, blog posts, games, zines, etc., as part of @scholarslab's larger working librar...

I sewed up a little zip up pouch during the incredible #ACH2023 keynote. It's 100% upcycled. The lining and outside of the pouch are offcuts from various quilts I've made and the zipper is from a pair of shorts I cut up for fabric. #DHMakes
